Solid experience and a meticulous and thorough approach are the basis on which his success is built. An old boy of Naparima College, San Fernando, he also taught Science and Mathematics for 7 years at the Couva Government Secondary School. On graduating from the Hugh Wooding Law School in 1995 Mr. Ronald Dowlath co-founded a law firm which he guided for 14 years until its dissolution in 2009.
A skilled Legal Draftsman he was also introduced to the Intellectual Property Office during his in service training. Apart from having the responsibility for the Conveyancing Department, Probate and Administration of Estates Department, and Corporate Law Department, Mr. Dowlath also was an instructing attorney at law in matters at the High Court, Court of Appeal and has also instructed English Queens Counsel in matters taken to the Privy Council.
As instructing attorney at law he has worked together with Mr. Doodnauth Singh (Senior Counsel) and Mr. Sonny Maharaj (Senior Counsel). As an Advocate Attorney at Law his success record can be gleaned from the Case Reports included in this website In his conveyancing practice Mr. Dowlath is experienced in the approval of titles and preparation of mortgages for the Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Finance Company since his firm joined their panel of attorneys at law in 2005.
Since 2009 he has headed the firm of RONALD DOWLATH – ATTORNEYS AT LAW & NOTARY PUBLIC- and has successfully appeared as Advocate Attorney at Law at the High Court and Court of Appeal. He has also instructed Mr. Anand Beharrylal King's Counsel in several matters at the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London, England. He is always ready to lend a helping hand to young Attorneys at Law. In February 2022 he was appointed a Notary Public.
